Speaking from my own experience...
I and my two siblings grew up
in a single parent household, and it was not fun. But we have
persevered; my sister is a business administrator, I have a B.A. in
History, and my younger brother is on his way in Petroleum Engineering
at Texas A&M. So we turned out fine. And yet, I went to a high
school dominated by single-motherhood minority children, of which many
were (surprise!) delinquents. Why can't we just leave worthless
emotions out of the debate and deal with the facts? Because
Liberalism is the triumph of unreason. It is a rebellion against real
progress. By the way, I often felt embarrassed at the fact that my
father was a failure, because I am well aware that his genetics pass
down to me. This was a good motivator, and it makes me anxious to

great that you succeeded despite being raised by a single mother. The
book is not meant to chastise you. It's simply meant to get the facts
out there. Ann's point is that many of those raised by single moms are
in jail, so they may not even have the ability to come on here and
back her point up.

I am very appalled by her ignorant statement. My mother is a single
mother, I am not a criminal. I am very successful. I have graduated
from college with a Bachelor in Profesional Writing. I cannot believe
that she is so ignorant. Talking about things that she was never

The economic impact of single motherhood can't be denied.
Both on the mother and the country. This works to the benefit of
socialists because it makes more people depend on the government. />

perfect example of why. They ask questions, then interrupt you every
time you try to answer. They invite you on to talk, then bash you

a black actress, even though it was her white mother who loved her and
raised her without the help of her black father. Obama barely

there was a time when a girl who was pregnant and not married would
feel ashamed, that is certainly not the case now. These days, even if

I am African-American and I am a single
parent. My daughters now 30 and 21, whom I adopted, are both working
and in school and I am very proud of all they have accomplished. I
was raised by both of my parents who are still married, yet that
didn’t deter me from taking on the responsibility of loving and
nurturing two children who needed a home. I have a B.S. in Child
Development and have considered myself a child advocate all my adult
life. At the same time, I am aware that a single parent who has solid
morals and is a positive role model for her children and willing to
make the necessary sacrifices, is better than two parents who
aren’t. The fact that single mothers raised 70% of those who
are incarcerated is one way to look at the tragedy in our society.
Another way to look at it would be, 70% of those who are incarcerated
were perhaps raised in a dysfunctional environment that included an
absent father.

As far as Halle, Alicia and Obama
identifying themselves as “black”, that is because we have
always lived in a white society that has never accepted a person of
color who looks black as “being white”. Could any of them
walk into a white supremacist meeting and take a seat? Since white
America is going to treat them and others with similar skin tone as
black, which race do you expect them to accept? There are plenty of
black people with two black parents who possess skin that is a lighter
than theirs. So, what would you call them…almost white?
Furthermore, you only seem to be concerned about the half-white
“celebrities” who have accomplished something. What about
the ne'er-do-wells who are also half white? Do you want to claim them
as well?

Furthermore, black celebrities, especially actors,
are among those who have the most difficult time getting good roles.
Do you really believe Meryl Streep would be as successful as she is if
she had been black? How many of those outstanding roles would she

here when George Washington was elected president. Do you really
believe white America is saying that if Obama had come along one
hundred years ago, he could have been president? Do you really
believe that the only reason people who “look” black but

The Interviewers always ask
questions like, “don’t you think you are being to

Family if you have a baby without a father then you can get free
housing (housing projects title 8) food stamps,free medical insurance
,free child care ,free breakfast and lunch in school. I work with a
woman who ditched her husband (who by the way was working a full time
job and a part time job) so that she could have a brand new home bulit
for her and her 2 children by habitat for humanity, you have to be a
single mother below a certain income to qualify (she had a huge
wedding to this man that cost every bit of $2000.00 or more 5 yrs ago)
he is a good man and a good father and the father of her two children
age 10 and 5. yes she worked the systen in her favor and now has a
custom built (she pickout the carpet,counter tops tile and paint)

I didn't realize two unwed teenagers, together since they were 15 -

"nuclear family." If money made from photos of their newborn will

There is a reason that this program is called "The View". It is only
able to tolerate "their view" and no one elses. Elisbeth (sp?) could
not get a word in edgewise, and neither could Ms Coulter. Their
liberal bias host like guests with warmth and open arms, while anyone
from the right is viewed as the enemy. Ms Coulter never stood a
chance to discuss her book with any sense of civility.

I
may not agree with Ms Coulter on everything, but I do applaud her for
not stooping to their level. Three of the 4 hosts march to the beat of
the mainstream left wing media and will never rely on the facts. This
program will never come close to being "fair and balanced". Hence the
name "The View".

Why would Ann waste her time going on a show that only welfare bums
and single mothers watch? I could barly watch the first couple of
minutes where these Leftards were pumping themselves up to face Ann.
